CUSTOM GARAGE CABINET BUILD IN SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA

This residential garage cabinetry project was built from scratch using Radiata Pine plywood and 1/4” birch plywood. Designed with function as the primary goal, the plywood edges were left exposed with no edge banding applied.

The lower cabinets feature full-extension, side-mount drawer slides for easy access to tools and equipment, while the upper cabinets are outfitted with soft-close hinges. The lower cabinet layout includes custom storage openings designed to accommodate specific tools, including a generator and additional equipment not shown in the photos.

An extended overhang above the upper cabinets provides added storage for wider boxes and totes, helping maximize vertical space in the garage. While this project was designed as a functional garage storage solution, care was taken to achieve a clean, attractive finish with all outer surfaces being sanded and finished with a water-based, satin-sheen coating for durability.
