Floating Walnut MEDIA Cabinet

Modern entertainment systems call for modern furniture. With today’s slim, wall-mounted televisions and minimal media components, bulky entertainment centers are no longer necessary. Streaming devices, smart TVs, and hidden wiring have changed how living spaces function, and this floating media cabinet was designed specifically with that in mind.

At just 11-1/2 inches deep, this custom floating media cabinet helps to reclaim valuable floor space, making it an ideal solution for apartments, condos, and modern homes. The cabinet is wall-mounted using a simple and secure French cleat system, eliminating the need for legs and reinforcing its clean, space-saving aesthetic.

The cabinet body and adjustable shelves are constructed from walnut-veneered plywood, while the soft-close doors are made from solid walnut. The doors feature a unique variegated, textured pattern created by combining multiple walnut off-cuts and custom CNC programming done in-house. This results in a one-of-a-kind surface that adds warmth and visual interest.

The overall dimensions of this particular unit (shown in the photos) are 62” wide, 18” tall, and 11-1/2” deep, built specifically to fit the space in which it would live. As with all of my work, this piece can be fully customized to suit your home.
